I'm in the process of swapping out the Navy lower to the original steel cetme I purchased from apex, I will also add a wood grip from RTG. The steel lower is clipped and pinned and off the semi auto variety. When I try to install the trigger group, it wont go in deep enough or forward far enough to install the safety selector? It's approx 1/16th of an inch too far back in the housing. When I take it out and look inside there appears to be a small weld that's connected to the trigger guard. I think this is what stopping my trigger group from aligning correctly. Has anyone experienced this problem? I assumed the trigger group should drop right in. Is there any problem with removing some of the weld? Any help would be appreciated.

Excellent fit on the PTR 91 GI straight out of the box without any modifications. This type of steel trigger housing with the shelf and without the ears was used on the HK 91 commercial models imported into the US years ago; e.g., Springfield Armory SAR 3 and 8.
